Lower School student takes second place in reading program

Ellis second grade student, Dionna "Didi" BoBo has won second place in the Pittsburgh Pirates Tales summer reading program. Didi surpassed her summer reading goals and wrote about the books she read throughout the 2016 summer.
In conjunction with the Carnegie Library, the Pittsburgh Pirates program, Pirates Tales, is a community outreach program designed to promote literacy skills. The Pirates Tales program empowers kids, ages 6 to –12 years old, to set reading goals throughout the summer. All children who achieve their home run reading goals are entered into a contest to attend a one-time story hour with the Pirate Parrot before a home game. In addition, they receive a Pirates goodie bag, an autographed book by the Parrot, and two tickets to a Pirates home game in April or May 2017.

Congratulations Didi!
