The second graders will become “International Space Station Astronauts” and will participate in activities designed to give them a sense of what astronauts experience when they are “in orbit” on the International Space Station. Some of the activities we have planned are:

• Designing the International Space Station (ISS) 
• Manipulating a Robot Arm 
• Sleeping in Space 
• Communication between Spacewalkers and Astronauts on the ISS 
• Moving through an Airlock 
• Eating in Space
