Tiger Roars: Congratulations to Ellis musician Emma Hoover!

Emma Hoover ‘17, a violinist and 8th grader at The Ellis School, was selected by audition to participate in the Performing Arts Institute of Wyoming Seminary this past summer. Emma spent four weeks participating in the Institute’s Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, and singing in the Institute Chorus. The program is comprised of teachers, counselors, and students who rehearse daily on repertoire at the professional level, leading up to a public weekly Saturday evening performance. Several hundred students, from 19 countries participated in the program this summer.
In addition, Emma was recently selected to play violin in the Symphonette of the Three Rivers Young People's Orchestras Symphonette Emma is a student in the City Music Center of Duquesne University's Mary Pappert School of Music.
