Ellis at the Pittsburgh Symphony

Thanks to an ongoing partnership with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, The Ellis School will celebrate an afternoon of art and science at the Symphony on Sunday, February 9. Ellis students will perform at Heinz Hall prior to the 2:30 p.m. Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performance of The Planets, which will be accompanied by NASA video footage of the planets. The afternoon is the culmination of numerous visits by PSO musicians to Ellis classrooms this school year.

Ellis performers will include The Ellis School Purple Sparkly Strings, Middle and Upper School Silver Strings, and Upper School Glee Club. Ellis families of children ages 5 to 8 may also register their children for the musical activities during the first half the concert so parents can relax and enjoy the concert. There is no additional charge for this offering.

For additional details and to learn more about the performance, buy tickets, and register, go to www.pittsburghsymphony.org/ellis. This partnership is made possible by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Ellis Parents Association.
