Ellis Community Honors Teachers
The Ellis community came together on Teacher Appreciation Day to celebrate and honor the School’s extraordinary teachers by making a gift to the Ellis Fund. A grand total of $170,000 was raised, with 316 donors participating, including parents, alumnae, grandparents, past parents, faculty and staff, students, and friends of the School.
Parents showed their support for teachers by making in-person donations at drop-off and by reaching out to other members of the community via email and phone calls to encourage them to donate. Students wrote thank you notes during their lunch periods to their favorite teachers which were later delivered. To end the week, the Ellis Parent Association cooked and served a Caribbean themed lunch for faculty and staff to show their appreciation.
