Scholarships

Through our Admission and Financial Aid Programs, Ellis is committed to attracting the very best students from all economic, racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. Scholarships are among the tools we offer to parents to put an Ellis education within reach. Financial aid is also available to families who qualify. The following scholarship programs may be helpful to you and your daughters:

  • Arbuthnot Award

    The Arbuthnot Awards are $10,000 merit scholarships offered to four rising 9th grade students who exhibit academic excellence and exceptional leadership and are committed to being creative and courageous leaders in The Upper School. Completed applications are due by January 15.
  • Dr. Victoria Bernardis Jordan Latin Award

    This endowment was established as a financial award for the twelfth grade student who has accumulated the highest grade average in Latin through grades 9-12. The endowment will also provide a gift certificate to a computer or school supply store for the eighth grade student who has accumulated the highest grade average in Latin through grades 6-8.
  • Mary Edwards Foster Art Award

    Polly FOSTER Mullins ’59 established this award in honor of her mother, Mary Edwards Foster. The Award is to be presented annually to a junior or senior who exemplifies Mrs. Foster’s love for learning and the fine arts.
