Our People

The Ellis School is a caring community, comprised of girls and adults all working toward a common mission: preparing, empowering, and inspiring each and every girl through an excellent education in an all-girls environment.

We are a community of lifelong learners, mentors, academics, parents, coaches, staff, and advisors who have dedicated our lives to creating the best possible educational environment for girls from age 3 to grade 12. Our exceptional faculty are academic leaders in their chosen fields. They receive teaching awards, are recruited as national AP graders and test leaders, and frequently present at conferences around the world. Because we have the lowest faculty-to-student ratio in the city, our girls receive unparalleled personal attention in every subject area.

A team of talented administrators have been recruited from the top schools and institutions from across the region and the world. Together with the support and guidance of our truly outstanding Board of Trustees, we are achieving our vision of becoming a leading school for girls, providing an excellent education for every student and continuing to innovate so each girl thrives in school and excels in life.

The dynamic and deeply engaged members of the Ellis Parents Association provide exceptional support to our community, raising funds, hosting celebrations and events, and advocating for girls and young women in and beyond school.

I thank you for considering Ellis as you explore educational options for your daughters. We welcome you to learn more about our community and experience why The Ellis School is such a remarkable learning environment.

A Highly Regarded Faculty

Our exceptionally qualified faculty brings a broad range of talents, interests, and perspectives to the classroom. Faculty members regularly present at national conferences around topics ranging from best practices in service learning to innovations in teaching science and engineering to girls.

These dedicated professionals guide students from their earliest learning experiences all the way to Advanced Placement studies. Small class sizes allow the faculty to know each student personally and to teach to the individual, not the mean.

At Ellis, students are personally connected to their teachers, and the faculty is personally vested in the success of every girl, every day.
