A Note to Our Donors from Macon Finley, Head of School

I’ve written often about stories that we have taken away about ourselves from the 2020-2021 academic year. I couldn’t be prouder of our Ellis stories—operating safely on campus all year with an option for students to learn from home if needed, growing our enrollment for the upcoming school year by more than five percent, achieving the highest level of parent participation in the Ellis Fund on record. But I am mostly proud of, and grateful for, the commitment that all members of our community showed the School and each other, as well as the resilience, creativity, and caring with which we navigated last year. I am especially grateful to each of you who has supported the School with your generous gifts during such an unusual time. We could not do this work without you.

One of the best aspects of Ellis is the warm and welcoming nature of this school community. My greatest wish for each of you, regardless of whether you are a current or past parent, current student or former student, or simply a friend of the School, is that you know you will always be a part of this special Ellis family.

As with most independent schools, tuition does not fully cover the cost of each student’s dynamic and immersive education at Ellis.
