Ellis to Welcome Best-selling author Dr. Lisa Damour
Pittsburgh, PA, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 – The Ellis School will welcome New York Times best-selling author, Lisa Damour, Ph.D. for An Evening with Dr. Lisa Damour on Wednesday, May 17 at 6:00 p.m in Alumnae Hall. Dr. Damour is the author of the New York Times best-seller, “Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood” and she speaks to parents, educators, advocates, and students across the country on a wide range of topics related to child and adolescent development. She also serves as a regular contributor to CBS News, writes a column for the New York Times’ Well Family online report, directs Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls, and maintains a private psychotherapy practice.
The Ellis School is committed to providing public parent education programs to provide support, resources, and guidance to the community. These intimate forums give parents the opportunity to make new connections and take part in a thought-provoking discussion with experts and other adults. All programs are free and open to the public.
