Ellis students are excellent athletes and scholars. Sixth grader Carly McGuire placed 3rd in the Open Freestyle category and was awarded a bronze medal in March 28 Shamrock Skate ice skating competition. The competition, which was held at the Robert Morris University Island Sports Center, brought out approximately 150 skaters ages 4 to 17. Carly has been skating since age 7 and has been competing since age 8.
