100% of Ellis students at PJAS Regionals win awards

For the second year in a row, every Ellis Middle and Upper School student who competed at the February 6, 2015 Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) regional competition won first or second place awards and special honors. Together, these 12 students earned 18 awards: seven first place awards, five second place awards, and six special awards.
Each student conducted an original research project in one of 12 scientific categories identified by PJAS, and then presented her research to a team of judges at competition. The Ellis PJAS team is overseen by faculty advisor Kim Mechling.
