CLOTHINGThroughout the year, the girls go outside as often as possible, please make sure your daughter is dressed in clothes that are appropriate for the weather. Shoes must be closed toe and closed heel for safety in P.E and on the playground.
Please see the Ellis Uniform Shop page for more information.
Please keep an additional change of seasonal clothes in your daughter’s locker. This may include panties, socks, a long sleeved tee shirt & cotton leggings. Please remember to label each item with your daughter’s name.
HOLIDAYS AND CELEBRATIONSWe celebrate all traditional holidays. The room parents organize parent volunteer sign-up sheets using Sign Up Genius for each holiday. If you would like to share a special celebration or family tradition w/ our class, please let us know.
FIELD TRIPS Field trips are an important part of the students’ learning experience. These trips are an integral part of the curriculum. Prior to each trip, details will be sent home with your daughter, so you can plan accordingly.
LUNCHLunch for the Pre-K girls will be in the classroom at 12:00pm. You may purchase a lunch at school or send in a lunch from home. We don’t have the ability to heat or cool you daughter’s lunch here at school, so please use ice packs or a thermos.
The monthly school lunch menu can be located on MyEllis or outside the classroom. If you’d like to purchase a school lunch, download and complete the lunch request form on the Pre-K classroom page. Make your daughter's meal selections, note her name and the date you want her to receive the lunch. The orders need to be placed 1 week ahead of time. For example, you will send in the form on Monday for the following Monday. Hard copies will be available if needed in the Pre-K classroom. Please set up a
prepaid account with Metz Food Service via MyEllis.
CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERSThe Pre-K teachers appreciate parent volunteers. We will need you for field trips, classroom celebrations, LS musical, costumes, fun fest day and guest reader.
DAILY SNACK The Pre-K girls are provided a healthy snack in the morning and afternoon snack.
The Pre-K room provides a 'nut-free table' for lunch and class parties. If you are providing a snack for the students, please be sure to send in foods that have not had any contact with nuts nor have traces of nuts.
TRANSPORTATIONIf there is a change in your daughter’s transportation plans, please notify us in writing OR call or email Mrs. Sunday before 2:00 p.m. She will let us know about the change before dismissal.
