At this special Ellis event, UCLA professor Dr. Linda Sax will discuss findings of her research about the benefits of single-gender education and how girls schools fosters confidence and competence in girls. Dr. Sax has found that the most significant benefits to girls are in STEM subjects and success in college. She will discuss her research protocols and findings, and how parents, teachers, and students can work together to support girls and young women.

This event is funded by the Ellis Parents Association in collaboration with the Learning Innovation Institute at The Ellis School.

The talk is preceded by a reception for parents and the public (adults only) from 6 to 7 p.m. in Alumnae Hall.
