  • Professional Development

The Ellis Janet Jacobs Enrichment Program (JEP) Endowment offers faculty financial support for professional growth and enrichment in a variety of ways, including university course work, attendance at meetings and conferences, and curriculum development. Applicants should complete a JEP application form, available in the Business Office and on the Ellis server, which describes the proposed activity, lists projected expenses, and includes statements of support from appropriate Division Directors and Department Heads.

    COURSE WORK
The School will fund study at an accredited college or university or other suitable institution at a maximum rate of $1750 per term for two terms per year. Ellis will not recognize nor fund degrees from non-accredited or for-profit institutions. The Committee of Five will consider financial support for auditing courses.

To qualify for funding, a minimum grade of “C” must be earned, and a transcript or copy of the final report must be submitted to the Head of School. Failure to do so will result in the funds having to be repaid to the school.

Funding for course work is available only to faculty and staff currently employed at The Ellis School.

  • Tuition Remission

Regular full-time employees are eligible for 50% tuition remission for daughters enrolled at Ellis. Regular part-time employees are eligible for tuition remission on a prorated basis. Employees are eligible to apply for Tailored Tuition for the balance of tuition if they choose.
