  • Director of Teaching and Learning

    The Ellis School is seeking a Director of Teaching and Learning, who will oversee and advance the school's academic program by developing and instituting school-wide systems that utilize Best Practices to enhance the already high quality teaching at Ellis. The Director ensures that curriculum, instruction, assessment, and use of technology are aligned across divisions, responsive to the developmental needs of girls.

  • Director of Culture and Community Life

    The Director of Culture and Community Life serves as a senior leader and strategic partner dedicated to advancing The Ellis School’s mission by fostering an inclusive, equitable, and culturally sustaining community. Grounded in expertise in language, literacy, and culture, this role shapes institutional vision and policies related to identity, equity, and belonging. The Director leads the design, implementation, and assessment of innovative programs and initiatives that cultivate student leadership, community engagement, and a cohesive school culture spanning grades PK–12.

    As a trusted advisor to the Head of School and division leaders, the Director integrates research-informed practices and data-driven insights to guide continuous growth in community life, equity frameworks, and culturally responsive pedagogy. The role also includes teaching the ninth-grade Voice & Vision course, anchoring students’ development in identity exploration, perspective-taking, and social justice leadership.
