HEALTH, DISABILITY AND LIFE INSURANCE:
Employee health care coverage, dental insurance, and vision insurance at no cost to the employee. Employees, their domestic partners (at an additional cost) and their qualified dependents (at an additional cost) are eligible for coverage on the first day of employment by Ellis.
Ellis provides long-term disability (LTD) coverage to all eligible Regular Full-time Employees, who are eligible on the day they start employment.
Ellis provides accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage to all Regular Full-time Employees at no cost. Additional life insurance, including life insurance coverage for dependents, is available at an additional cost.
Ellis provides a Flexible Spending Account and a Health Reimbursement Account for Regular Full-time employees.
PAID TIME OFF:
Ellis provides paid sick leave to Regular Full-time Employees and Regular Part-time Employees, which accrue to a maximum of nine (9) days per year. Sick leave is provided to Regular Part-Time Employees on a prorated basis. Unused sick days may be carried over from one year to the next; up to 60 days may be accumulated in an employee’s medical leave bank.
In addition to providing paid time off for school-designated holidays, Ellis permits full-time Regular Employees (prorated based on FTE) to take three (3) paid personal days annually for personal business that cannot be taken care of outside of regular business hours and for religious observances, ethnic holidays and other events of personal significance.
Ellis provides paid vacation days to Regular Full-time Employees who are administrative or staff members and pro-rated vacation to Regular Part-time Employees. Faculty schedules conform to the school calendar.
Ellis provides eight weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, or three weeks of paid parental leave for secondary caregivers.
RETIREMENT BENEFITS:
In addition to employees’ own contribution to their retirement account, Ellis will contribute five (5) percent of their annual salary to the retirement account of a Regular Full-time employee or a Regular Part-time employee provided that employee contributes at least two (2) percent of their annual salary. For an employee in their sixth (6) year of employment, Ellis’ contribution goes to seven (7) percent of their annual salary.
OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Regular full-time employees are eligible for 50% tuition remission for daughters enrolled at Ellis. Regular part-time employees are eligible for tuition remission on a prorated basis.
All employees will be entitled to receive lunch and snack at no cost in the Ellis dining room when the dining room is operating.
The Extended Day Program (after-school program) is offered to Ellis employees at no cost during the school year when school is in session and the employee is at work. Special programming days offered by EDP during the professional development days or school conference days during the school year, when employees need to be on campus, are provided at a 50% discount for employees needing to be on campus that day.
Ellis' Summer Programs are available at a 50% discount for employees who work on campus during the summer, and at a 20% discount for employees who do not work on campus during the summer.
Register online at PATCH (Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History) to request a new record check. When the report is complete, print a copy with the control number and submit to The Ellis Business Office.
Print the PA Child Abuse History Clearance form, complete and submit with payment to the address provided. When you receive your clearance from the PA Department of Public Welfare submit to the Ellis Business Office.
