Class of 2016 College Decisions

Ellis is pleased to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2016. This talented group of 29 young women has been accepted to 79 distinguished colleges and universities that are reflective of their unique talents and aspirations. These admissions are as diverse as our students themselves, representing 20 different states plus the District of Columbia. The students intend to study art, engineering, business, and the sciences -- among many other majors.
  • 90% of the class will be attending a top-choice college.

  • It is especially remarkable that 100% of those who sought college merit scholarships received awards, and many also received direct entry to specialized honors and leadership programs upon acceptance.
  • Our students compete successfully against the country and world’s top talent, with 40% of the class choosing to enroll in a “Most Selective” school, according to Barron’s categories of selectivity. Our students gained admission to more than 27 schools in the “most selective” category, alone.
  • Ellis students score exceptionally well on the SAT. When compared to girls nationally, Ellis girls score at least 20% higher in every category.

  • 95% of the students indicated that they felt well-supported by Ellis through their college process.
With 29 girls attending 25 distinct institutions, it’s clear that Ellis’ very personal approach to the college search works. Individual attention from teachers, small class sizes and a rigorous curriculum prepares, empowers and inspires each girl to find and embrace her best-fit college.

Join us in congratulating these exceptional young women for their scholarly achievements and for their many contributions as daughters, friends, athletes, artists, scholars, and leaders.
