Ellis Lacrosse Players Recognized

Ellis lacrosse players have been recognized for their athletic talent, academic standing, and dedication to the sport. WPIAL named four Ellis students as Lacrosse All-Section All Stars. U.S. Lacrosse, the sport’s national governing body, also named four Ellis students to its high school Academic All-American list.
Ellis WPIAL Lacrosse All-Section All Stars
Rising seniors Isabel Brooke, Charlotte Forsythe and Olivia Muse, and rising junior Maya Milch were named WPIAL All-Section All Stars. These four players were nominated by Coach Emily Crosby for their accolades, statistics, number of games started, and the crucial role they played on the team. The nominations are then voted on by other coaches.

Coach Emily Crosby said, "The fact that all four of our nominees were named All-Section All Stars shows the respect other coaches have for their abilities and character. All four deserve the recognition for their scoring, defense, and versatile skills.”

Ellis All Academic All Americans
Four members of the Class of 2016 --Isabel Brooke, Charlotte Forsythe, Kevelis Matthews-Alvarado, and Olivia Muse--were also named high school Academic All-American by the U.S. Lacrosse organization. All-Academic players must be a starter for and a major contributor to the team, while maintaining a 3.7 GPA, taking majority honors and advanced coursework, demonstrating engagement in school and community activities, and having no red card violations.

Congratulations to these athletes!
