Ellis senior Performs with State Orchestra
Ellis musicians are making headlines. Ellis senior, Alexis Balog, Class of 2015, performed with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Western Region State Orchestra Festival during a two-day festival, held March 12-14. The festival, hosted by Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy, welcomed nearly 160 students from 50 schools in western PA.
Speaking to The Erie Times News, harp and clarinet player Alexis said the experience was, “stressful, of course, but by the end of it it's kind of exhilarating, 'I can't believe we did this.' That's why I like playing in an orchestra instead of solo. I like being part of a bigger group."
