Ellis teacher named Digital Public Library rep

Ellis history teacher Dr. Susan Corbesero was recently selected as a national Community Representative of the Digital Public Library of America. The DPLA aims to provide public access to digital holdings in order to create a massive open-source public digital library.
Started by Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society, the DPLA has received many prestigious grants from organizations such as the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

As DPLA Community Representative, Dr. Corbesero plans to actively promote the interests of school and communities, and also to collaborate with both students and faculty to help integrate the remarkable offerings of the DLPA network into digital humanities curricula. You may read the DPLA's announcement here.

Congratulations, Dr. Corbesero!
