Girls Lacrosse: East Feature Athlete - Ellis' Li Milch

Sportstown, the popular sports blog run by the Post-Gazette, has named Ellis senior Li Milch its East Athlete of the Week. The article states that, "as captain for the Tigers and she is a three-year starter. Li scored five goals in a 15-5 victory over Hempfield and has 50 goals and 24 assists for the season. Li also plays basketball and soccer. She was a two-year starter on the basketball team and also was a captain. Li already has committed to play lacrosse at Allegheny College."
Coach Emily Deering said: "Li stood out to me in her freshman year because I could tell she was a natural athlete. She has great hand-eye coordination and has magnificent touch with the ball. Additionally, she's left-handed which gives her a great angle when she's taking a shot on right-handed goalies. She's a versatile player and is a positive to be around and has been consistent in developing her game the past two seasons. Li sets the bar as far as a skill set, and she's an incredible team player. While she stands out and is memorable, she sets up her teammates and makes the memorable as well."
