Black Student Union Participates in Research Project

Ellis students in the Black Student Union participated in a research project through the Gwendolyn J Elliott Institute (a research arm of Gwen’s Girls) focused on sexual harassment. Led by Dr. Britney G Brinkman, Ph.D. from Point Park University, the project aims to better understand Black girls’ experiences in regards to sexual harassment.
Dr. Brinkman visited The Ellis School and hosted a discussion with students about their opinions and experiences on sexual harassment. Following the discussion, Ellis students reviewed questions that will be distributed in a survey to girls throughout Western Pennsylvania in a survey. The feedback and viewpoints Ellis students shared will then be included in the final draft of the survey.
