2018 Sara Frazer Ellis Award Recipient

In honor of her steadfast commitment to all-girls education, philanthropy, and service, The Ellis School is proud to name Peggy MATHIESON Conver ’73 as the recipient of the 2018 Sara Frazer Ellis Award. The Sara Frazer Ellis Award is given annually to an alumna whose achievements represent the Ellis experience.
A graduate of the Class of 1973, Peggy MATHIESON Conver is the Chief Financial Officer at Fresh Artists and recently served as the Interim Director of Finance & Operations at The Ellis School for part of the 2016–2017 school year. Before that, Peggy served as a Certified Public Accountant and as the Business Manager at the Chestnut Hill Academy, a prominent K-12 independent school for boys in Philadelphia. She is also a former Ellis trustee and served on the Board from 2009 to 2016. Peggy has a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University and is a stalwart supporter of all-girls education.

Peggy has been a tremendous advocate and champion of The Ellis School for decades. She is receiving this award for her professional accomplishments and years of service to Ellis. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees and stepping into the role of Interim Director of Finance & Operations, Peggy also organizes alumnae events, acts as class representative to the 45th reunion class, and is always available to provide valuable feedback and ideas. Her love of the School and commitment to giving back, along with her successful career, make her an ideal Sara Frazer Ellis recipient.
