Student Ranked in Top 101 Field Hockey Players in Nation

Tegan Poerio, Class of 2021, has been ranked one of the top 101 freshmen field hockey players in the country by Max Field Hockey. An explosive player and dynamic teammate, Tegan has played field hockey at Ellis since Middle School and led the Tigers to their fourth consecutive WPIAL title this year with two goals in the championship game.
On Tegan’s commitment to the sport, Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach Amanda Rose said, “Tegan fuels our team with her knowledge, leadership, and incredible skill set. She has the heart of an athlete and a true love of the game—when she comes to practice, she comes to answer the drive inside of her to be better than she was yesterday. She leads by example and puts her heart into the game.”

In addition to playing at Ellis, Tegan plays all over the country with her traveling team, the WC Eagles. Congratulations, Tegan, on this impressive feat. The entire Ellis community, including your teammates, classmates, coaches, and teachers, are cheering you on!
