The night’s speaker, Honorary French Consul Jean Dominique Le Garrec, spoke to inductees and families about the importance of being bilingual in today’s global world. He told Ellis students, “Without a second language, one sees the world in two dimensions only, with the knowledge of a foreign language, one sees the world in three dimensions and has a much improved ability to comprehend the depth of challenges and to address them appropriately. With the knowledge of foreign languages, the entire world will be your stage. It’s just a matter of choice and will.”
Congratulations to the 2017 inductees!
