Ellis offers London-Pittsburgh exchange

The Ellis School announces a new international student exchange with Queen’s College in London, England. The new exchange program is open to rising juniors and begins in the fall of the 2015-16 school year. Juniors must apply by April 22, 2015 to be eligible to attend Queen’s College from February 27 to March 10, 2016. Families of these Ellis students are also required to host Queen’s College students from October 14 to October 25, 2015.
About Queen's College: Located on the heart of London, Queen’s College has an exceptional history and an ambitious, warm, and distinctive approach to the education of young women in the 21st century. The school was founded in 1848 as the first institution to provide academic qualifications for girls and young women, and received a Royal Charter to further girls’ education. England's queen, currently Queen Elizabeth II, has always been a patron of the school.

According to Dr. Susan Corbesero, Coordinator of Global Initiatives, “I am very excited about the establishment of this new exchange.  Queen’s College and Ellis both share the distinctive approach of offering an academically-focused education with an emphasis on nurturing and developing the talents of each student.”

Application materials and more information can be found online. Students may contact Dr. Corbesero with questions. Completed applications are due by April 22, 2015.
