Ellis teacher to serve as national AP Studio Art Exam reader

Congratulations to Ellis art teacher Isabelle Moldovan who has been invited to serve as an AP Studio Art portfolio reader this June in Salt Lake City.  Ms. Moldovan will join high school and college art educators in grading 50,000 portfolios from students around the world.
"We are so proud of Ms. Moldovan. It is a testament to her reputation and experience as an outstanding arts educator that she has been chosen as an AP Studio Art portfolio reader. It is also further evidence of the exceptional visual arts program we offer here at The Ellis School," said Head of School Robin Newham, who founded the School's AP studio arts program in the 1980s. Thanks to Ms. Moldovan and her colleagues, visual arts is a hallmark of excellence at Ellis.

Ms. Moldovan is a dynamic, respected, and much-loved member of the Ellis community. She is known for her ability to engage students deeply, creatively, and intellectually. She is also a dynamic and inspirational leader who serves on the School's Partnerships Collaborative team and is the Upper School Special Programs Coordinator. Ms. Moldovan has taught art at Ellis since 1986.  This is the first time that Ms. Moldovan will serve as an AP exam reader.
