Seniors Earn WPIAL Lacrosse Honors

Two Ellis lacrosse players earned postseason honors in recognition of their excellence on the field this season. Leah Ewers, Class of 2019, was named to the WPIAL All-Section Team and Kat Ference, Class of 2019, earned a spot on the All WPIAL team in addition to being named to the All-Section team. A dynamic duo, Kat and Leah ran the Tiger’s offensive unit with Kat scoring a total of 80 goals and Leah scoring 54 goals.
In celebration of these accolades, Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach Megan Gold shared, “Kat and Leah were strong leaders and captains this season. The way they pushed their teammates to get better every day was evident in their own performance. The whole team benefited from what they brought to the table as teammates and captains and they will be greatly missed next season.”

The Ellis athletic program empowers girls to be secure and confident as athletes on and off the field. As team captains, Kat and Leah exemplified what it means to be caring, empathetic individuals with real integrity as they led their team throughout the season.
