Senator Kirsten Gillibrand speaks with Lower School and Grade 7 students

Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator and New York Times bestselling author, will visit Ellis on December 3 to discuss bravery and share stories from her new book with students. Throughout her life, Senator Gillibrand was inspired by her own great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother to be bold and brave––to stand up and fight for what she believes in. But who inspired them? On the eve of the one-hundredth anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment, which granted women suffrage, Senator Gillibrand shares the stories of strong women who raised their voices on behalf of justice in her new book Bold & Brave: Ten Heroes Who Won Women the Right to Vote.
