An Anniversary: The Queen's Gambit Chess Institute

Ashley Priore, Class of 2018, is the founder and CEO of 501 (c) (3) The Queen's Gambit Chess Institute. As a part of her senior project and the Queen’s Gambit’s initiatives, she is hosting the first Annual Pittsburgh Chess Conference. This two-day student-run conference celebrates being a chess player in Pittsburgh, an emerging global and innovative city. This year's theme is Connecting Communities, One Move at a Time will explore how the game of chess is impacting the lives of so many through educational, economic, and political change.
