Combining vocal techniques, acting exercises, and emotional character development, Acting the Song will give Ellis Middle School performers a greater sense of the musical theatre world.

Under the direction of Theater Tech Teacher Elizabeth Gray, students will learn how to translate lyricists’ and composers’ work into their own creative and emotive interpretation of musical language in this interactive, hands-on workshop. This after-school course is designed to hone the acting abilities of each student through song, and foster development of expressive performers.
