In-service Day, No School for Students

Toys: The Intersection of History and Fun!
Friday, November 10, 2017
7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Registration Deadline: November 9, 2017

Explore the exciting world of toys and games! Students will meet the historic character, Barbara Handler, as she shares the story of how her mother Ruth created the Barbie doll. They will travel through time with vintage toys and games to see how they have shaped toys today and even create a simple toy or game of their own. Students will also receive a free family admission pass to visit the History Center to extend their experience. This program is presented by educators from the Heinz History Center. Students will need to bring a packed lunch. Space will be made available for Middle School students to register for this Lower School based in-service day program.
