Ellis seeks host families, rising 10th graders for Australian exchange

The Ellis School is seeking families to host Australian students as part of our new international student exchange program with St. Hilda’s School in Southport, Queensland, Australia. The Ellis/St. Hilda's exchange program will begin in fall 2014. For almost 100 years, St. Hilda’s has provided an outstanding atmosphere for girls’ education, delivering high standards in teaching, and promoting global leadership opportunities.
Ellis will welcome two 10th grade students from St. Hilda’s to our campus from October 10 to November 14, 2014.

As part of this new program, Ellis is looking for two Ellis families to host the Australian students and provide them with enriching and memorable cultural experiences. If your family is interested in hosting, please contact Mrs. Lauren Laschon, Director of the Upper School to learn more about this opportunity.

Two Ellis sophomores will attend St. Hilda’s from February 17 to March 21, 2015. Applications and information packets will be available for rising sophomores next week from Dr. Susan Corbesero. Since this is an exchange, Ellis students will not pay any additional school fees or tuition. Ellis students will be responsible for their international travel and spending money. Some financial aid will be available for students.  More information will be included in the application packet.

The Ellis/St. Hilda's partnership demonstrates our School's commitment to provide an innovative global education by bringing the world to Ellis and Ellis to the world.
