Grade 5 play celebrates Ellis Centennial

When one walks into the 5th Grade Homeroom, you can easily tell it is a place of excitement and learning. But today, it has become more focused, as it usually is this time of year. Why, you may ask? Because of the 5th Grade play, of course! You can see girls chattering quietly about costumes, music, scripts and the actors rehearsing their lines. But what are they saying?
The new play is about the centennial of Ellis and the history of Ellis. Three girls find an old radio...and mystery strikes.

Each year the 5th grade collaborates on a play of their own design, often inspired by the curriculum.  Students participate in the writing of the script and as a class they produce the play.  That means girls are actresses, lighting designers, stage managers, costumer designers and more. The play will be presented on Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 pm.
