Ellis School Welcomes Author Kate Klise

As part of its commitment to fostering a love of books and writing for young readers, The Ellis School will welcome author Kate Klise on Friday, May 1, 2015 for this year’s Author Day event. Ms. Klise is best known for her award-winning children’s books including Regarding the Fountain, The Show Must Go On! (Three-Ring Rascals), Stand Straight, Ella Kate, Dying to Meet You, and The Loch Ness Punster, which is part of the 43 Old Cemetery Road series.
Her work has been nominated for many awards including the Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award. She’s also been selected for the Junior Library Guild and has been named in numerous “Best of” lists. Ellis Librarian Sara Brooke organized Ms. Klise’s visit.

Ms. Klise will speak to students in grades K-4 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. and to grades 5-8 from 1:10 - 1:50 p.m. She will also lead a writing workshop with the 6th grade.
