Arbuthnot Awards

The Ellis School is proud to offer a competitive scholarship program for students from middle income families - The Arbuthnot Awards. Through these designated awards, Ellis can enroll top quality candidates who are just a short stretch away from affording the experience. Earmarked for incoming 9th grade students who meet certain qualifications through a competitive application process, these awards augment tuition in each of the awardees’ four Upper School years.

The mission of this program is to not only attract and retain top quality students, but to reinforce our commitment to socio-economic diversity with a focus on middle income families.

    Who qualifies?
The Arbuthnot Awards are need based awards offered to current 8th grade and new 9th grade students. Arbuthnot Award candidates complete an additional application/essay and interview with the Arbuthnot Awards committee. Awardees will be selected in early-to-mid March.
